More than Dance Music

Check this out! This is why I love going to hear our musicians at non-dance events!

There are a bunch of new videos on YouTube from the 2007 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee featuring our own John Cocuzzi. Check out this great How High the Moon with Cocuzzi on vibes and 12-year-old Jonathan "Jazz" Russell on violin. Bassist Jennifer Leitham ain't half bad either! Allan Vache (clarinet) gave me the chills at last year's Crystal City Jazz Celebration. There are a a good number more great Cocuzzi performances from the festival too. Check out the St. James Infirmary performance too.

We're lucky. We don't have to travel across country or an ocean to enjoy this music. Cocuzzi is right here in our own backyard.
